Bluefly Lookbooks

I was tasked with creating a site takeover for our fine jewelry business—the challenge being to create a luxury-feel with a very limited prop budget. I used feathers and some post-production tricks, to get the final result.   Photography: Tom Medvedich   Styling: Richard Alfredo

The idea here was to design a shoppable lookbook for new summer arrivals. Finding the right location was key, since we were shooting in Brooklyn in April. With the right framing and some color correction the shots ended up feeling  a bit more like “summer.

This shoot was inspired by the minimalist sculptor, Fred Sandback whose use of yarn creates interesting and sometimes 3-dimensional forms. It was an hommage to his technique, which created an abstract environment to frame the objects.
